Event Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Refund Policies

Client understands that signing up for classes or private events requires a commitment of limited space and resources on the part of Monterey GlassWorks (MGW).  MGW and our contracted partners/instructors are committing time and resources to the event and thus cancellation would result in lost income and business opportunities in an amount difficult to precisely calculate. Therefore the following cancellation policies will apply.

1. Private Party Cancellation Policy

a. 30 days or greater notice

If Client requests cancellation of an entire private party, at least 30 days prior to the scheduled event date, they have two options:

  1. Reschedule the event any time within the next 12mos.
  2. Cancel the event in its entirety.

If cancelled, clients will be refunded the entire price of the event, less any processing fees.

b. Less than 30 days notice

If Client requests cancellation of an entire private party, after 30 days prior to the scheduled event date, they have two options:

  1. Reschedule the event any time within the next 12mos.
  2. Cancel the event in its entirety.

If rescheduled, clients will be charged a 10% rescheduling fee. But otherwise 100% of the event fee may be applied to an event to be rescheduled within 12 months.

If cancelled, clients will be refunded the entire price of the event, less minimum event charges and any processing fees. Minimum event charges equal the minimum reservation quantity as defined on the event web page.

a. Partial No-shows with less than 30 days notice

In the situation where a Client would like to still hold the event but would like to reduce the number of attendees, they will receive 100% refund on those no-shows up until 30 days prior. After that, they will receive 50% refund on all no-shows above the minimum event count.

2. Class refund policies

Individual students may need to reschedule to future classes for many reasons. They are free to do so but depending on timing, it may be difficult for MGW to fill that spot, even when we have been turning people away because the class was full. For these reasons we will follow the following policies for class withdrawals:

a. Early Withdrawal ( >30 days advance notice)

100% of class fees will be refunded, less any processing fees.

b. Late Withdrawal (30d or less advance notice)

We will reach out to our waitlist to seek replacement students. If we find one, then the withdrawing student will receive a 100% reimbursement (less any processing fees). If we fail to fill the spot, then the withdrawing student will be only refunded 50% of the class fee, less any processing fees.
